This horse judging clinic is targeted to beginner horse judging youth. It will cover the basics of judging halter, western pleasure, hunter under saddle, and some emphasis on judging and scoring the reining class.
Small group sessions will focus on improving skills in oral reason on halter and performance classes. There will be a mix of judging live horses as well as video classes.
Youth (and adult chaperones) may bring their own sack lunch (recommended if there are special dietary requirements), or they may purchase food from an on-site food truck vendor at their own expense.
Youth participants should bring their own pencils and notebooks for judging purposes. Printed materials and light refreshments will be provided.
